Ruck Cloud is a growing cloud consultancy founded by Alan Ruck in January 2020, providing a wide range of Cloud Services from advisory cloud consulting to technical hands on cloud architecture, AI, DevOps, cloud platform engineering, cloud migration, infrastructure management, cloud native application development through to technical training. Alan has been working in the IT industry since 2003 and has accumulated over 20 years of experience in various IT roles in different business sectors and technical disciplines. Alan is a Microsoft Certified Professional with a specialisation in Microsoft Cloud Platform & Infrastructure (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) including Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Office 365, as well as on premises Windows Server Infrastructure solutions (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) specifically Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory and Hyper-V Virtualization. Alan also has extensive knowledge and experience of the Google Cloud Platform and is certified Professional Cloud Architect and Google Cloud Authorized Trainer.
Alan has worked in various roles including field service, remote support, system administration, system engineering, cloud architecture, IT security, cloud native development, platform engineering, DevOps and team leadership. Alan has been heavily involved in various projects relating to scoping and building or migrating various Microsoft Server and Cloud technologies - including Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, ISA/ Forefront TMG, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Google Cloud and Workspace. Alan has extensive experience with virtualization including Microsoft Hyper V and VMware technologies which includes building and supporting data centre virtualization as well as private and hybrid cloud solutions. Alan is an active blogger writing about cloud platform & infrastructure.
As a certified Google Cloud Authorized Trainer teaching on the Cloud Infrastructure track, Alan assists cloud engineers and cloud architects in training on Google Cloud infrastructure and architecture best practises across core infrastructure, architecture, migration, DevOps and infrastructure management. This training is completed through official Google Cloud ATP's using all official courseware and Qwiklabs environment. Alan is a certified Google Cloud Authorized Trainer and is currently available to assist ATP's in their training requirement for virtual ILT and classroom ILT training on Google Cloud. As a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Alan has extensive experience and have been involved in various projects relating to cloud architecture, cloud migration, cloud DevOps as well as cloud training on the Google Cloud Platform. Alan has both hands on technical knowledge of hybrid cloud deployments, networking integrations, infrastructure management, monitoring and logging, security monitoring implementation as well as a high level solution architecture view of cloud implementation of projects and designs.
Alan has worked on various projects relating to Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps. This experience extended from technical team leadership of Azure DevOps teams through to intergration of hybrid cloud platforms, DevOps and migrations from on-premises environments into Microsoft Azure. Alan is a Azure Solutions Architect Expert and has experience of both the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure as well as infrastructure management.
